<p style="text-align: justify">There is no doubt that incidents of bulimia has increased significantly in the 1980s and exceeded the incidence of anorexia nervosa.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">There are still many outstanding issues concerning bulimia.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">Questions like, is a bulimia of a new disease or the same disease that has been known for centuries, but appears as a different version? And what made bulimia increase so significantly in recent decades? Was it modern pressure to be thin or more like inherited personality traits, or both?</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">To conclude, bulimia bulimia simple as has been known since antiquity. But the &#8220;bulimia&#8221; term can be applied to cases in which the stories were published before 1979. Simply because the reasons in the past to binge and purge, then were different from today and the psychological aspects are also different.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">The modern term &#8220;bulimia&#8221; is not just the simple practice of bingeing and purging, now there are certain personality traits behind the term. These features include addictive tendencies, problems of impulse control, obsession with weight and general appearance and certain personality disorders may be associated with the duration of bulimia.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">So my opinion is that bulimia is a new disease of our time that has arisen due to the intense pressure to look slim. Also the fact that they are used by many victims as a coping mechanism for the extra effort that we have today in our lives.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">Modern medicine and put their trust in the cognitive behavioral therapy to treat bulimia. Although there are some initial success has shown that it is a failure in most patients that the disease continues to evolve.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">The new way forward in treating the disease is to eliminate the subconscious blocks that have been shown to disrupt and detain a person for recovery. As more and more one knows how the mind works medicine has to move with the flow of discovery and not based on a methodology obsolete.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">But unfortunately, during the history of medicine has never moved at a rapid pace, which many of those who do not learn the new methods will have to suffer needlessly until medicine catches up.</p>
